Langzeitaufenthalt - Preis-Leistung super Die Betten sind bequem und die Zimmer groß genug. Ich war in einem 4 Personen Zimmer. Die Lage ist 1a. U-Bahn Station "Naturkundemuseum" ist direkt vor der Tür und die Straßenbahn ist direkt an der nächsten Kreuzung. Rewe, DM, Döner, Currywurst, Subway und vieles anderes ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das Personal ist 24 Stunden da und zu jederzeit freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die sanitären Einrichtungen sind auch vollkommen annehmbar und es wird jeden Tag gründlichst sauber gemacht. Ich habe hier ganze zwei Wochen verbracht und kann somit eine fundierte Meinung abgeben. Alle Zimmer haben abschließbare Schränke. Gegen Pfand kann man sich sogar ein Schloss ausleihen, falls man keine mitgenommen hat. Kleinigkeiten zum Snacken und Getränke kann man sich an der Rezeption kaufen. Unten gibt es sogar eine Kneipe und eine sehr gut besuchte und große Bar.

Right choice to stay for several nights. Very sympathetic staff, WiFi works even outside the hostel, rooms and bathrooms are cleaned every day. The hostel itself is situated very well: Friedrichstraße is in 15 min. by foot, as well as Alexanderplatz; U-Bahn and Tram station are right otside the door; Edeka - a little further. A nice bar downstairs with the discount for the hostel guests. Not a problem for me, but someone could have missed the kitchen.

Muy buen Hostel. Muy limpio. Todo nuevo. El bajón fue que al ser tan nuevo no tiene cocina, pero según dijeron los recepción en unos meses estará lista. La ubicación está un poco alejada de lo turístico pero en 10 minutos de caminata o con algún transporte público llegas rápido. El personal muy atento, el Wi Fi llegaba muy bien a las habitaciones. Lo recomiendo completamente!

Clean comfortable and safe. There’s an excellent review on this page by someone called Eddie Rich, and I second everything he says. I was familiar with the Ballhaus Club before, and the hostel had just opened when I stayed there. Excellent wifi, very clean everywhere, and friendly helpful staff. I was usually staying with friends on the other side of Berlin but it was more economical to stay at the Ballhaus than travel by taxi. Definitely good value and highly recommended.

I saw this place on hostel world, but because they just opened after renovations, they didn’t have many reviews. I stopped in to check it out before booking a room, but to make sure I felt good about it… and this hostel is great! Ok, entering for the first time feels a little weird? You go in a huge gate that looks like a circus, walk through what looks like will be an awesome patio in the summer, into a strange service hallway, and ring a bell. They talk to you over intercom, and buzz you in, and you go up to the third floor. Take the elevator when you’ve got your luggage, but later, make sure you take the stairs, because the art in the stairwells in amazing! They are massive prints from a show in the gallery downstairs, and they are beautiful and provocative. The entire hostel has been redone. Obviously the building is amazingly old, it’s the oldest hostel in Berlin. But all new flooring, furniture, bathrooms, and windows have really updated it. The bunks are sturdy, and each, one has a light and an outlet at it. The rooms have lockers, and there is additional luggage storage behind the front desk. The sheets are way nicer than most hostels, and feel super clean. The bathrooms are small, and the and showers are the kind with a button you have to push every sixty seconds, but hey, it saves water, right? The only downside I felt was that there isn’t a kitchen, but in such an old place, you can see how adding one would have been way too much work. Maybe they could put a microwave in the lobby or something? I don’t know. I ate most meals at a cafe down the block about fifty...

The Ballhaus ist a brand-new hostel in Mitte right at the U-Bahn station Naturkundemuseum. The area is quite expensive in general, so it is a pleasant surprise to find such an affordable, friendly, clean accomodation there. Staff was very helfpul in giving advice for breakfast/dinner locations and stored my luggage for a day. Great people. They even have a deal with the posh hotel across the street so you can use the spa there for less.

Lovely hostel with comfy clean rooms, great staff, and fantastic location. The staff were absolutely lovely, really helpful and cheerful. There was one girl there with blue hair who was a joy to chat to, please tell her her enthusiasm didn't go unnoticed! Beds were thick and comfy, some of the best I've slept in in a hostel. The rooms were clean and bright, with big windows that opened wide. The pillow was a pretty thin, but i just popped my scarf under it when I slept and that was that problem solved. The rooms were really warm, I brought pretty heavy pajamas with me thinking it would be chilly and regretted it since I'm already a very warm sleeper. The rooms were very comfortable, not too hot, but by no means cold, but I did get a bit too hot at night. Just bring lighter pj's if you have the same problem as I do! Lockers in the rooms were big enough for a hand-luggage suitcase, with a shelf and space to hang clothes. If you have a big suitcase though it wont fit in, as they're quite slim. Rooms were pretty quiet too, hardly any outside noise when the door was closed. The hostel is right beside a stop for the U6 line, and the M5 which brings you to Alexanderplatz, which is super handy. The location is brilliant, you can get everywhere incredibly easily from the hostel. There are 2 places to the left and right that I found that were great for breakfast (La Femme and Karaca, both had great coffee). Further down the road to the left is a small supermarket, and if you explore around there's a lot of cafes, restaurants, and places to buy food.

The Ballhouse hostel has a 1920s atmosphere and is connected to the main building. In the entrance there is a very old berlin pub with an amazing ambient. The Biergarten, or terrace is perfect for leisure time. If someone also wants to go out there is a club/bar again directly at the hostel. All in all everyone is very nice and has a very cool attitude. I would recommend it 100%. Nice uncomplicated and the facilities are also quite new!
